Wallace C. (J.C.) Maier, 60, Nashville, Ill., a native of Mt. Vernon, a former
local city police officer and for many years chief of police at Nashville,
Ill., died Friday (11 Feb 1955),
relatives in Mt. Vernon have been advised.
The funeral and burial services will be Sunday afternoon at
The deceased is survived by his wife, Mabel; two daughters, Mrs. William Seyler and Miss Budina Maier; a
son, Wallace, Jr; the mother, Mrs. Ella Bishop Maier,
and a sister, Mrs. Harry Bronstein, all of Nashville, John C. Maier, the
father, died in recent years.
The mother was a sister of the late Romelia J. Bishop
