MRS NELLIE MAE DUNCAN MAYVILLE

Mrs. Nellie Mae Duncan Mayville, 76, Mt. Vernon, wife of Ben Mayville and a life-long resident of South Posey county died at 7:25 a.m. today a the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leon Coan, 912 East Water street.

 

She had been seriously ill for the last five weeks.

 

The deceased was a member of Church of God Mission.

 

She was born near Cronbach school in Point township, a daughter of Joseph Duncan and Flora Kenndy Duncan, both natives of Posey County.

 

The body is at Weisinger funeral Home and will remain there until it is taken to Church of God Mission on Wolflin street for the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Monday.  Rev. Paul Turner pastor of the church, will conduct the service.  Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery at Bufkin.

 

Mrs Mayville is survived by 66 direct lineal descendants.

 

Survivors in addition to the husband include seven daughters, Mrs. coan, Mrs. George Gross, Mrs. Cecil Ayers and Mrs. Samuel Manning, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Charles Carr, Wadesville, Mrs Frank Betz R. R. 4 Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Floyd Schaffer, R.R.1  New Harmony; two sons, Martin, East St. Louis, and Lynn, R. R. 1 Elizabeth, Ind. 37 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Edna Robinson, Alexandria, Ind., and Mrs. C. V. Shock, Trotwood, Ohio; a half-sister, Mrs. Isabelle Trice, Nashville, Ten. and a half brother, Fred Duncan, Knightstown, Ind.
