GRACE A NEALE

Miss Grace A. Neale, 80, a life-long resident of the Mt. Vernon community whose Christian life had been centered in her home, died at 8:30 a.m. today at the Neale residence at 209 E. Water street.

 

In apparent good health, Miss Neale suffered an unexpected cerebral hemorrhage last Saturday.

 

The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home,.  Funeral arrangements were incomplete at noon.

 

Nearest survivors are two sister, Miss Maybelle Neale, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Mary Neale Dean, Meherin, Va; a brother, W. Herbert Neale, Brooklyn, N.Y and several nieces and nephews.

 

The deceased was a devout member of First Presbyterian Church and its Martha Hunter Guild.  For a number of years she was employed in the department store of the late William A. Bryant.  Her friendly sympathetic personality earned her the respect and love of hundreds of persons.

 

Miss Neale was born near Mt. Vernon and had spent her entire life in the Mt. Vernon community.

 

Her parents were Thomas H. Neale and Isabelle Dowerman Neale, members of prominent, early Hoosier families.
