FRIEDA LOUISE HOLLERBACK OETH

50, wife of Arthur Oeth, farmer and oil producer, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday (31 Jan 1953) in Welborn Memorial Baptist Hospital in Evansville.

 

The Oeth family resided for many years east of Mt. Vernon on R.R. 1, Mt. Vernon, but for the last year had lived in Henderson, Ky.  Mrs. Oeth had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill since November.

 

The body has been brought to the Short Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon and will remain there through the funeral service that will precede burial in Bellefontaine cemetery.

 

Time of the service had not been set this morning pending word from a son, Carl, who is serving with the U.S. Army in Europe.  Rev. Henry F. Church, Owensville, a former pastor of St. John's Methodist Church at Caborn, of which the deceased was a member, will be the officiating clergyman.

 

Surviving in addition to the husband, are three sons, Robert, Henderson, Ky.; Vernon, Mt. Vernon, and Carl, U. S. Army; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Green, Evansville and Marjorie Ann Oeth and Mary Lou Oeth, Henderson; one grandchild; four brothers, Arthur, Clarence, Rudolph and John Hollerbach, all of Evansville, and the last named a twin of the deceased, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Kohomoor, Evansville, and Mrs. Earl Herschelman, Riverside, Calif.  Death severed marital bonds of 29 years.

 

Mrs. Oeth was a native of Vanderburgh county, a daughter of John Hollerbach and Annie Muehler Hollerbach.
