MRS. RAYMOND OLIVER

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Mae Forkner Oliver, 63, Mt. Vernon, wife of Raymond Oliver, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Oliver died at 6 p.m. Saturday (5 Nov 1960) in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville two hours after she suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage at her home at 600 Locust street.

 

Visitation hours began at 1 p.m. today at The Short Funeral Home.

 

Sunbeam chapter, No. 1, Order of Eastern Star, of which Mrs. Oliver was a past worthy matron, will conduct a memorial service in the Short Chapel at 7:30 o'clock this evening.

 

The body will be taken to First Methodist Church at 1 p.m. Wednesday and lie in state there until the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary. The Rev. E. David Frazier, minister of First Methodist Church, will conduct the church service, and burial rites in Bellefontaine cemetery.

 

Mrs. Oliver was for 35 years superintendent of the Primary Dept. of the Church School of First Methodist.
