Raymond Oliver, 80, 600 Locust St., died at 6:50 a.m. Thursday (19 Feb 1976) at Medco Center.

 

Oliver was born in Posey County and was the son of Job and Victoria Webb Oliver.

 

He was a veteran of World War I and belonged to Eastern Star.

 

He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge, and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

 

For over 50 years, Oliver had worked in the insurance business.

 

Surviving are his wife, Ruth; a son, Donald R. Oliver of Seattle, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. James Canull of Indianapolis; one brother, Job Oliver of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Huffer of Ft. Collins, Colo., Mrs. Otis Young Sr., Tempe, Ariz., and Mrs. Hillard Nickell, Henderson, Ky.; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

 

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

 

Friends may call at Norvell Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday.
