AUGUST V ORMAN SR

Funeral services will be conducted Monday for August V. Orman Sr., 70, R. R. 13 Hogue Road, Evansville, a native of Mt. Vernon who died Thursday (1 Jun 1956) at Bethany Rest Home in Evansville.

 

Orman was a retired Railway Express Company employee and was a money clerk for 42 years.

 

A brief service at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home in Evansville will be followed by requiem High Mass at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Philip Catholic Church at St. Philips.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Surviving are four sons, August V., Jr., Victor E. Gerald H. and Harold B. all of Evansville; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence L. Deig, Mrs. Julian W. Sanders and Miss Carolyn Orman, all of Evansville; five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Green Givens, Alexandria, La.

 

The deceased's parents were George Orman and Amanda Daniels Orman.  George Orman was a local pioneer in concrete construction.  He served as city street commissioner.
