FANNIE KAHN POWERS

Mrs. Fannie Kahn Powers, wife of Walter T. Powers and a native of Mt. Vernon, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday (12 Dec 1954) at her home in the Bernardin Apartments in Evansville.

For many years she was a saleslady at The Wells women's apparel store in
Evansville, retiring some time ago.  Although in failing health, she had not been acutely ill and death was unexpected as the result of a coronary condition.

The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home in
Mt. Vernon and will remain there through the funeral service.  The family request is for no floral offerings.

The funeral service will be conducted at
2 p.m. Tuesday in the Short-Niehaus chapel by Dr. Frank R. Greer, Evansville, minister of Trinity Methodist Church of Evansville and former pastor of First Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.

Surviving in addition to the husband, are a sister, Mrs. George S. (Ella) Green,
Mt. Vernon and two nieces, Mrs. Charlot Carr, Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Mose Bohn, Henderson, Ky.

The deceased was a daughter of Isaac Kahn and Charlotte Gumberts Kahn.
