WILLIAM RENSCHLER

William Renschler, 87, a well known, retired farmer of the Mt. Vernon community and the father of George W. Renschler, Farm Bureau leader and head of Renschler Farm Equipment Co., died at 5:30 p.m. Monday (3 Jun 1957) in Welborn Memorial Baptist Hospital in Evansville.

 

Mr. Renschler entered the hospital two weeks ago for treatment of a heart condition and other ailments attendenant upon his advanced years.  He had resided with his son since the death of his wife, Margaret Sailer Renschler, eight years ago.

 

The body is at Short-Niehaus Funeral Home.

 

Funeral arrangements, as tentatively made, are for the moving of the body from Short-Niehaus chapel to Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church late Thursday morning there to lie in state until the funeral service in the church Thursday afternoon.  Burial will be in St. John's cemetery north of Bufkin.

 

Rev. August E. Binder, pastor of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church, will conduct the services.

 

The deceased was a native of Vanderburgh county.  He came to Posey county at the age of seven years with his parents, John Renschler and Elizabeth Fuss Renschler.

 

Survivors are the son, George W.; three daughters, Mrs. William Uebelhack and Mrs. Edward uebelhack, both of R. R. 2, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Alvin Schneider, harrisburg, Ill; a brother, John Renschler, mt. Vernon and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Geffert, Denver, Colo;p and Mrs. Emma Kaier, Monrovia, Calif.
