RALEIGH CALEB RICKETTS

Raleigh Caleb Ricketts, 76, a well-known retired Posey county farmer residing at
1021 W. Fourth street died at 6:45 a.m. today at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He had been ill for a week prior to his entrance of the hospital early Suncay.

A native of
Pike County, In. a son of John Thomas Ricketts and Ellen Wade Ricketts, he had spent most of his life in Posey County.

The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home and will remain there until Thursday when it will be taken to the late residence on
W. Fourth street.  It will be moved from the residence to the Mt. Vernon General Baptist church, of which the deceased was a member at 1 p.m. Saturday and will lie in state in the church until the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.  Rev. Alfred Weir, Gibson county, former pastor of the local church and Rev. Chester Laymon, present pastor, will conduct the service.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.

Surviving are the wife nee Lula Churchill⁄ five sons, Claude, Lynn township, and Raleigh C. Jr; Fred, Leonard and Malcolm, Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Russell, Chicago, Mrs. Chester Morris, R. R. 1, New Harmony, and Mrs. John R. Deusner, Mt. Vernon, 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three brothers, Michael, Mt. Vernon, John, New Harmony and Isaac, East Lynn township, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Cross, Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Roxie Ridley, New Harmony.

FUNERAL
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon for Raleigh Caleb Ricketts, 76, well known, retired Posey county farmer residing at
1021 W. Fourth street, Mt. Vernon, who died early Wednesday in the Deaconess Hospital.

The body was moved today from the Weisinger Funeral Home to the late residence.  It will remain at the late residence until
1 p.m. Saturday when it will be taken to the Mt. Vernon General Baptist Church,. - article incomplete
