OLIVIA FRANCES KUHN  ROBISON

Illness of Parkinson's disease for over a period of seven years which had incapacitated her for five years and confined her to her bed for the last year was fatal to Mrs. Olivia Frances Kuhn Robison, 67, prominent Mt. Vernon woman, at 8:30 o'clock last night at her home at 519 Main street.

 

She was a former Mt. Vernon milliner whose marriage to A.A. Robison took place in August 1921.

 

Mr. Robison has been for years a top salesman for David G. Evans Coffee Company, St. Louis, and a leader in Eighth district Posey county and Mr. Vernon Democratic politics.

 

The body is at Reisinger Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening.

 

It will remain there until taken to St. Matthew's Catholic Church of which the deceased was a devout member for Requiem High Mass at 8:15 a.m. Friday.  Father Raymond B. Smith, St. Matthew's Church  pastor will be the celebrant of the Mass.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Active for many years in organizations of St. Matthew's Church, Mrs. Robison had been forced by her extended illness to cease active membership in these organizations.  She was an early president of the American Legion Auxiliary of Owen Dunn post, No. 5, of which her husband is for the second time the commander.

 

Mrs. Robison had spent her entire life in Mt. Vernon and Southern Posey county.

 

She was born at Farmersville, a daughter of John Kuhn and Mary Pfister Kuhn.  For a number of years she operated a millinery shop on Main street in Mt. Vernon but following her marriage devoted her time and interest to her home and family.  She was closely associated with her husband in all of his business and political undertakings.

 

Surviving, in addition to the husband, are a son, A. A. Robison, Jr. owner-operator o Robison's Men's Wear in Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Carrigan, Norfolk, Va., Mrs Jack Butcher, Crawfordsville, In., and Mrs. William H. Miller, Evansville; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Ofer and Mrs. Jacob J. Moll, Mt. Vernon, the latter at present in Hole Sound fla., and a brother, Joseph Kuhn, R.R.3, Mt. Vernon.
