EDWARD L ROMANS

Edward L. Romans, 75, a retired Posey county farmer residing at 422 Pearl street, Mt. Vernon, died at 11 o'clock Wednesday (7 Dec 1955) night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mae Brooks, 304 South Third avenue, Evansville, where he had been ill for the last week.

 

The body has been brought to Weisinger Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon and friends are invited to call there after Friday noon.  Rev. Bert Turner will conduct the funeral service in Weisinger chapel at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.

 

The deceased was a native of Calhoun, Ky., but had resided in Indiana for the last 5 0 years.  His parents were Kelley Romans and Marguerite Quick Romans.

 

The late deceased's wife, Minnie J., died in 1938.

 

Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Brooks, and Mrs. Riley Samples, both of Evansville; two sons, Willie Romans, Evansville and Bernice Romans, R. R. 9, Evansville; 10 grandchildren, and two brothers, Thomas Romans, Los Angeles and Joseph Romans, Evansville.
