PIERCIE EDWARD ROWE

Piercie Edward Rowe, 64, R.R. 5 Mt. Vernon, a lifelong resident of Posey county, died at 8 o'clock this morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion, Ill.  He was a garage operator and farmer.

 

Seriously ill since last Friday, the World War I veteran entered the hospital last Saturday.

 

The parents of the deceased were William Rowe and Mary Duncan Rowe, both of Posey county.

 

The body is at Weisinger Funeral Home where friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday.

 

Rev. Paul E. Turner, pastor of Church of God Mission, will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday in Weisinger chapel.  Burial will be in Black Cemetery.

 

Surviving are  the wife, nee Edna Wood; two sons, Floyd E. Rowe and Chester Grant Rowe, both of Mt. Vernon; nine grandchildren, four stepdaughters, Mrs. Ruby Bailey, Owensville, Mrs Imogene Adams, Chandler, Mrs Loretta Nickell, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Billie Lou White, Evansville, and five stepsons, Reginald, Donald, Paul, Jr., Elmer and Terry Barnes all of Mt. Vernon.
