RAYMOND R ROWE

Raymond R. Rowe, 70, former well-known resident of Posey county, died at
6:45 o'clock Sunday (11 Jul 1954) morning in Welborn Memorial Baptist Hospital in Evansville.

The deceased was born in
Mt. Vernon the son of Samuel R. and Amelia Zergiebel Rowe, pioneer residents.  For some time he served as assessor of Black township while a resident here.  He moved to Evansville many years ago.

Mr. Rowe, who resided at
406 Southeast First street in Evansville was formerly an agent for the Metropolitan Insurance Co., in that city.

Near surviving relatives are the wife, the former Nan Duncan of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Ray G. Rowe, Miami, Fla; and Duncan Rowe, owner-operator of Rowe's Import Gift Shop in Evansville; two sisters, Mrs. George H Garrison and Mrs. George B. Curtis - Posey county assessor, both of Mt. Vernon, and four grandchildren.

The body is at the Robert Creek Funeral Home in
Evansville where friends may call.  Funeral srvices will be held there at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and burial will be in Salem cemetery.
