JOHN L. SAILER

John L. Sailer, 88, a life-long resident of South Posey county until he entered an Evansville nursing home in 1952 and a farmer on R. R. 3. Mt. Vernon, for many years, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the M & R Nursing Home in Evansville.

Mr. Sailer had been ill for several years.  His wife, nee Nettie Niehaus, died in 1928.

His church affiliation was with Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church in Mt. Vernon.

The body is at Short-Niehaus Funeral Home.  Rev. August E. Binder, pastor of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church will conduct the funeral srvice at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Short-Niehaus chapel.  Burial will be in St. John's cemetery.

Surviving are a son, John W. Sailer, R. R. 3, Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. John Schroeder and Mrs. Claude Walker, both of Evansville, and eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
