JOHN C SCHMUCK

John C. Schmuck, well known 82 year old retired Marrs township farmer died at midnight Saturday (12 Jan 1957) night at Maxey Nursing Home in Evansville.  He had resided there since last December 30.

 

He was a life-long resident of Marrs township except for the few weeks he had been a patient at the nursing home.  His parents, Conrad Schmuck and Barbara Riebold Schmuck, were natives of Germany.

 

The body is at Short Niehaus Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

 

Rev. August E. Binder, pastor of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Short Niehaus chapel.  Burial will be in Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church cemetery in Marrs township.

 

Mr. Schmuck's wife, Anna Marie died in 1946.  Surviving him are two sons, John G. Schmuck, Mt. Vernon, and William H. Schmuck, Fort Lauderdale, Fla; a daughter Mrs. Edna Cunningham, Evansville; a son in law, Edwin Dickhaut, Robinson township, whose deceased wife was Frieda Schmuck dickhaut; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Kares, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Barbara Daub R.R. 2 Wadesville and Mrs. Elizabeth Kuehlenhoelter, Evansville.
