Mrs. Ruby Jane Sellers, 78, of Nebo, KY died at 2:30 A.M. Sunday, January 25, 2004 at NHC Healthcare in Dawson Springs, KY.
Born April 2, 1925 in Newburg, IN, she was the daughter of
the late Edgar Charles Gottman and Lena May Sloan Gottman. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Mrs. Sellers was a member of Silent Run Baptist Church. She was an LPN at Hopkins County Hospital from 1948 until 1968.
Surviving are her husband, Marcus A. Sellers, who she married on September
10, 1949; three
sisters, Gertie Reeves of Mt. Vernon, IN, Hallie Axe of Indianapolis, IN and Genive Chaplan of Benton, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Barnett-Strother
Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Lamb officiating. Entombment will follow in Union Cemetery near Nebo.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday.
Memorials may
take the form of donations to Silent Run Baptist Church, Good Samaritan Fund, 640 Silent Run Church Road, Nebo, KY 42441. Envelopes will be available at the
funeral home.
