Carl M. Sellner, 51, a former employe of Mt. Vernon Milling Co., who had been ill for the last three years, died at
9:15 p.m. Thursday (21 Oct 1954) at his home at 531 East Water Street.

He was a veteran of Navy service, enlisting in 1919.

He was a life-long resident of Posey county, a son of Joseph Sellner and Frances Kueber Sellner.

The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home where friends are invited to call beginning at
noon Saturday.  The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Weisinger chapel with burial following in Beech Grove cemetery in West Lynn township.  Rev. Chester McGehee, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, will conduct the religious service and Owen Dunn post No. 5, American Legion, will officiate at the grave with military rites.

Surviving are the wife, nee Golda Alldredge; four daughters, Mary Ruth, Carlene Sue, Linda May and Judy Kay, at home; five sons, Edward Lee, Evansville, and Donald Ray, Paul Elwood, John Francis and James Roger, Mt. Vernon; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Louis Suits, Peoria, Ill; a brother, Arthur Sellner, Mt. Vernon, and two sister, Mrs. Louis Zenthoefer, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Alvin Grant, Evansville.
