NORMA WADE SEXTON

Mrs Norma Wade Sexton, Evansville, wife of Virgil Sexton, a Chrysler Corp employee died at 6 a.m. today at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.  She was a former Mt. Vernon resident and the daughter of Atty. and Mrs. Jesse E. Wade.

 

The Sextons resided at 508 Jefferson avenue, Evansville.

 

Death ended a long illness that had resulted in Mts. Sexton's hospitalization the last three months.

 

A native of Cynthiana, the deceased came to Mt. Vernon with her parents as a girl.  She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High school and a very popular and attractive member of the younger social contingent during her residence here.

 

The body is at Boone Funeral Home 400 Chandler, Evansville.

 

Rev. August E. Binder, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mt. Vernon and Rev. Charles Zapp, pastor of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Evansville, will conduct the funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Boone Funeral Home chapel.  Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Evansville.

 

Surviving in addition to the husband and parents, are a daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Joyce Bruce, Evansville; two grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Louis E. Starken, Plainfield, Ind., and Miss Armada Wade, Mt. Vernon.
