MRS HELEN RUELLING STALLINGS
Mrs. Helen Ruelling Stallings, 48, St. Louis, wife of E. Truxton
Stallings, and with her husband and a former resident of the Mt. Vernon community, died Saturday (5 Mar 1955) night in St. John's Hospital in St. Louis. Death followed recent surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Stallings resided at 8113 Nola avenue in St. Louis. They left Posey county nearly 30 years ago and had resided in St. Louis since. Mt. Stallings a former East Lynn township farmer has been employed by the
St. Louis Transit Co., for many years.
Following a funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Albert H.
Hoppe Funeral Home in St. Louis, the body of Mrs. Stallings will be brought to
the Short Niehaus Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon where
friends are invited to call beginning Tuesday night.
Rev. J. Kenneth Forbes, a minister of First Methodist Church, will officiate at a funeral service at
the Short-Niehaus chapel at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Old
Beech cemetery in East
Lynn township.
Mrs. Stallings was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rueling and was a very attractive and popular girl and
young woman in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by her husband; her mother, St. Louis; a daughter, Mrs. Jamia
M. Maiz, Chicago; two grand-children, and two
sisters, Mrs. Marian De Tienne, Detroit, and Mrs. Robert Turner, St. Louis. Mrs. Joseph W. Breiner, Mt. Vernon, is an aunt of the deceased.
