ELIZABETH WOLF STRACK

Mrs. Elizabeth Wolf Strack, 67, a native of Henderson, Ky who came to Mt. Vernon following her marriage to a member of a well-known local family and became an integral part of her adopted community, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday (13 Dec 1957) at her home at 128 Locust street.

 

Mrs. Strack's surviving husband Merle M. Strack, has been associated all his life with the plumbing and the heating sales, installation and maintenance in Mt. Vernon and Posey County.

 

Failing health since last September resulted in Mrs. Strack's passing.

 

Born in Henderson, Ky., the daughter of Henderson natives, Peter Wolf and Elizabeth Schisler Wolf, the deceased has resided in Mt. Vernon since 1912.

 

She was a devout member of First Presbyterian Church and its Martha Hunter Guild.  

 

The body is at Weisinger Funeral Home where friends may call from 3 o'clock this afternoon until noon Monday.

 

The body will be moved at 1 p.m. Monday from the Weisinger chapel to First Presbyterian Church where Richard V. Beesley, minister of the church, will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.

 

Surviving in addition to the husband are three sisters, Mrs. H. K. Keipke, Evansville, Mrs Cecil Dunn, Corpus Christi, Tex., and Mrs. Austin Wilson, Glendale, Calif.
