HERMAN H VAAL

Herman H. Vaal, 71, a well-known Point township farmer for many years, died at
2:30 p.m. Thursday (11 Mar 1954) at the home of his daughter, Mrs. David Foster, 308 Ragan street, Henderson, Ky., where he had made his home for about five years.

The body has been brought to the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home in
Mt. Vernon; it will remain there until it is taken to St. Matthew's Catholic Church for Requiem High Mass at 8:15 a.m. Monday.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Father Raymond B. Smith, St. Matthew's pastor, will officiate.  Mr. Vaal was a member of the Poor Souls Society of St. Matthew's.

Surviving are a son, Norbert,
Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Louis Muller, Evansville, Mrs Joseph Stauber, R. R. 5 Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Foster Henderson; 11 grandchildren and a brother, Joseph, Evansville.

The deceased was a native of
St. Meinrad, Ind.  He came to Posey count with his parents John Vaal and Elizabeth Rickemann Vaal.
