MRS REBA WALLS

 Mrs. Reba Walls, 58, wife of James Earl Walls, of 611 1⁄2 Main street, died suddenly at 12:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon in an ambulance while en route to an Evansville hospital.  She had been ill for some time with a heart ailment and her condition became suddenly worse yesterday.

 

The deceased was born in White county, Ill., but had resided in Mt. Vernon for the past 48 years.  She was a member of the General Baptist church.

 

Near surviving relatives in addition to the husband, a custodian at Mt. Vernon High School, are three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd E Peerman, Mrs. Raymond Whitehead and Mrs. Orville Cox, all of Mt. Vernon; a son, James Elwood, Mt. Vernon; a half-brother, Oscar Walls, Mt. Vernon; a half-sister, Mrs. Clarence Schneider, R. R. 5, Mt. Vernon, and six grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Weisinger Funeral Home chapel.  Rev. James Colbert, General Baptist minister, will officiate.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the Weisinger chapel after 3 o'clock this afternoon.
