WALTER WATERS of Mt. Vernon Dies Friday:


AUG 1966

 

Walter L. Waters, 75, of 908 West Fifth Street died at 1:45 pm Friday (29 Aug 1966) at his home. He had been seriously ill for three months.

 

Waters was born in Cave-In-Rock, IL, and he came to Mt. Vernon in 1937. He was a veteran of World War I.

 

His father's name was Joseph A. Waters and his mother was Nancy Suits Waters.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Monday at the Tygart Chapel with the Rev. Paul Turner officiating. Friends may call at Tygart Funeral Home after 7 pm Saturday. The Owen Dunn Post, American Legion will hold grave-side services.  (Burial was in Bellefontaine Cemetery.)

 

Mr. Waters is survived by his wife, Eva Morgan Waters and two sons, Cecil R. and Charles, both of Mt. Vernon. His daughter is Mrs. J. Bulla, also of Mt. Vernon. He is survived by thirteen grandchildren. His sisters are Mrs. Minnie Leewright, Poseyville, Mrs. Alma Staples, Sun City, CA., and Mrs. Frances Stedman, Sun City, CA.
