2 | The Weygandt family plot, also called Warren cemetery, is located on 3 Mile Road in Tippecanoe Township, Pulaski County, IN. The west end of 3 Mile Road can be found at the intersection of 700 North at about 275 East. Follow 3 Mile Road in a general north and east direction for about a mile & a half. The cemetery is located on the east side of this old country road. Jonathan Weygandt & his wife Elizabeth owned the land in 1842. Mr. Weygandt turned it over to the county commissioners in 1855. This burial ground hasn't been used for over 150 years. For years, tombstones were barely visible due to the overgrown condition. About 2011, Tracey (Maxson) Collins took it upon herself to preserve this burial ground. She petitioned the township trustee to have the area fenced off from the surrounding farm field. Ms. Collins has done extensive research on this cemetery and feels she has listed what tombstones that could be discovered. | |||||||||||||||||||
