METHODIST CEMETERY

Source: On the farm of John Lynch, Washington Township, Putnam Co. , Sec 6 T12N R5W. This cemetery is overgrown with small trees and brush. The early history of Putnam County refer to this cemetery in Sec. 6 as being a methodist Cemetery. There was a church near here also. There may be other stones in the cemetery that are beneath the soil. I did not probe for any stones. By James E. Johnson, 440 Troy Rd. North, Robbins, IA 52328

NOTE: There was also a cemetery by the church probably a mile from this one but was destroyed by the previous owners (before 1960) of the farm. Information from Transcriber. Transcribed by Penni Lynch.
