Vermillion/Bethel Baptist Cemetery

This cemetery is located in Section 36, N 1/2 of NW 1/2 of NE 1/4. It is the Old Bethel Baptist Church burying ground but is usually called the Vermillion Cemetery. Quotes from Abner Goodwin's will state: "I, Abner Goodwin of Owen County, State of Indiana . . . direct that my body be decently buried by the side of my first wife . . . There is one acre of land that I gave to the Baptist Church in Putnam County for a public burying ground to be used for that purpose by the people"
