Putnam County Death Records Indexes

This compilation was originally done by the Indiana Works Progress Administration in 1940. The records include the period from 1880-1920. some of these were done as transcripts of 1970s death reports. This data is incomplete. If you wish to help get data on-line here, please contact the webmaster.

Index of Individual Deaths AFTER 1920 to around 1976
This section only has a few LETTERS completed.  We are hoping for volunteers to help complete these indexes.  If you are able to help, please contact the Site-Master.

The information included in the Index is the name of the deceased, gender, race/color, age at death, date of death, place of death, as well as book and page number of original volumes (hopefully added later if not there).

Russellville deaths = "These death records were recorded by Doctors Reed and Richard. The original is still in existence. They are in a single volume but are listed as Book 1 and Book 2. "
