Married Dec 10, 1927 and separated Jan 11, 1928 is the latest matrimonial record of Thomas Turley, Greencastle laborer, who filed suit for divorce in the Putman Circuit Court Wednesday against Josephine Turley on grounds of desertion. The plaintiff alleges that shortly after their marriage Dec 10 the defendant became dissatisfied with surroundings and finally left him. He asks for a divorce through his attorney FS Hamilton. The plaintiff is the latest divorce complaint was recently divorced from Ada Turley in the local court but remarried shortly after the divorce.

A cross complaint to the divorce suit of Ada M. Turley has been filed in the Putnam Circuit court by Thomas Turley, defendant in the action.  In the cross complaint the defendant alleges that his wife is guilty of cruel and inhuman treatment in that she ordered him off the premises which she owns; that she treated a daughter cruelly and ordered him off when he remonstrated with her concerning the treatment and that the final cause of separation was a 23-year-old of his wife whom his wife insisted they board for nothing. The cross-complaint also asserts that the conduct of the son in bringing a girl of questionable character into the home was also upheld by his wife and resulted in the separation. The son and daughter of the plaintiff are by a former marriage. The defendant in his cross complaint asks a divorce and a judgement of $103 for expenditures on the home, FS Hamilton is his attorney.
