Lawrence Downs, of this city, has accepted a position in
the office of AJ Gibbons, chief engineer of the Vandalia system. Mr. Downs is
an accomplished engineer and the selection is well chosen. His headquarters
will be in Terre Haute and he will leave for that city in a few days. – kbz
