Russellville Searchlight
June 30, 1905

Wilbur, eldest son of El Harbison living near Portland Mills while examining a . 22 caliber revolver last Sunday cocked it, pulled the trigger and the little ball entered his left knee. He hurried up here to have Dr. Reed dig the bullet out. Reed refused to do the dig act, owing to the reason that it might cause a stiff knee. He hurried to Dr. Tucker in Greencastle, who also refused to do any dig for the same reason. Dr. Reed has guessed Harbison will carry the lead for awhile.
