Jim Lewis has been selected to represent Greencastle High School at Hoosier Boys' State held at Indiana University. Boys' State is an American Legion activity of high educational value, with a need for youth training in practical citizenship and functioning in cooperation and incidental to the major purpose of the schools. Boys' State is an objective, citizenship training institution which inculcates individual responsibility to the community, state and nation. Objective learning processes are employed on the thesis that good citizenship is only in part a matter of knowledge and Intellect.

Jim is active in the Medical Club, Science Club, Spanish Club, French Club, G-Club and Hi-Y. He will serve as secretary of Hi-Y for the 1964-65 school year. In sports he has participated in basketball during his freshman and sophomore year, wrestling his junior year and is a two letter winner in baseball. He was recently elected to membership in the National Honor Society and has been on the Academic Honor Roll for three years. He plans to attend Rose Polytechnic Institute.

Jim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Lewis, South Locust Street.
