Lockwood - 2 Johns in family - Putnam

There were two Johns born in the Lockwood family last month but the youngsters are 10,000 miles apart and when they were named the parents of neither knew about the other birth.  Word was received at Peru, Ind a few days ago that a son had been born to Mr. and Mrs. William W. Lockwood, October 2 at Shanghai, China where the father is secretary of the YMCA. This is the third child born in China to this family.  Mrs. Lockwood was formerly Mary Town of Greencastle. Her husband is a brother to George B. Lockwood, private sec to VP Fairbanks. On Oct 3, at Marion, there was a boy born to Mr. and Mrs. George B. Lockwood and the new arrival is also the third child in this family.  The boy has been named John also. The two Johns are the only John Lockwoods known to the members of this well-known Peru family – Indianapolis Star.
