15 Years Ago, June 15, 1945

Frank Kennedy, age 74, died at his home here June 6.

Miss Lucille E. Hester, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hester of Russellville and Sgt. Richardson were married June 5 at the home of Rev. Guy Tremaine, Methodist minister at Waynetown.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bridges of Hanna Crossing, June 9, twin daughters, Mariene and Arlene.

Max Jackson and Russell White were inducted into the armed forces, Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter McGaughey have received word of the birth of a son, Dennis Michael, born June 7, to Mr. and Mrs. Wayne McGaughey of Annapolis, Md.

Walter Gibbs has left to take up his training in the Navy and Joe Jarvis has left for Camp Atterbury for military service.

Woodrow Ferguson S-lc who was wounded in the left hand on May 14, while on duty on a U. S. Aircraft Carrier in the Asiatic area, had to have his left hand amputated. He is at Mare Island near San Francisco, Calif. Naval Hospital.


10 Years Ago, June 16, 1950

Charles A. Proctor died June 8 at the home of his son, Gardner Proctor in Orlando, Florida. The body was brought to Russellville for funeral services and burial.
