Taken up, by William Loper, in Russell Township Putnam County Ia one estray dark bay filly, with all of her feet white to the pastern joints except the left hand foot with a snip and a star in the forehead about 3 years old last spring, 13 1/2 hands high no other marks or brands perceivable appraised to $25 by Jno. M. Shepherd and David P. Freeman before me Jacob Durham, a justice of the peace. This is a true copy from my estray book. Given under my hand and seal this 22nd day of July 1837. Jacob Durham, JP
