PARIS - beaten up - Putnam

The following is taken from the police notes of the Terre Haute Tribune: “John Paris of Greencastle got caught in Terre Haute with a very black eye and a fine package. Allen and Huffman who made the arrest, gathered that Paris had been beat up in the west end and then robbed of $36 which he had saved up from his summer’s work.  Judge Batt considered this sufficient punishment and released Paris.”
