Petty - James - Sarah 61st anniv

A recent issue
of the Indianapolis Star entertained the pictures of Mr. and Mrs. James Petty
of Bainbridge, Ind who a short time ago celebrated their 61st
wedding anniversary. They are known to a number of persons here having visited
relatives in this city. Mrs. Ralph
Simmons, 1726 North Buckeye Street, and Mrs. Harry Huston, Sr 1622 North
Buckeye street are granddaughters and Mrs. Verna Kellar, 207 West Broadway is a
daughter-in-law. Mr. Petty is 84 years
old and a veteran of the civil war. He was born in Kentucky but was brought to
Indiana as a small child and lived in Putnam County since shortly after he
completed his army service. Mrs. Petty
before marriage was Sarah Bledsoe and was born in Putnam County in 1849. They have five daughters and one son.
