WILLIAMS, Elijah - 1837 - Putnam

Taken up on the 1st day of July 1837 by Elijah WIlliams living in Washington Township, Putnam County, Indiana, one estray Cow supposed to be 10 years old with a hole in right ear and an underbit in the left; and some white on her back and belly, a small bell on worth 62 1/2 cts. No other marks or brands perceivable. Appraised to $15 by William Williams and Abraham Alen (sic), before me this 8th day of July 1837. I do certify the above to be a true copy of my estray book.
