George Elmer JOHNSON, son of Alec and Amanda Johnson was born Oct 26, 1866 in Boone county, departed this earthly life July 15, 1936 at age 69 years 8 months 19 days. He was united in marriage to Cordelia Clodfelter, Jan 25, 1893. To this union were born four children: a son who died in infancy; Mrs. Blanche Griffin of Manhatten, Clateon and Cyril at home. He was a member of the Russellville Christian Church, joining at Hebron. Surviving are the widow and children, a son-in-law, Homer Griffin; one sister, Myrtie Whitaker of Iowa; and six brothers, Alfred and Andrew of Terre Haute, Charlie and Albert of Oklahoma, Ollie of Indianapolis and Dolpha of Iowa.
