Samuel Spurgeon Williams, July 23, aged 59 years and 10 months of cancer of the throat. The funeral occurred from the residence on Olive street, Sunday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Town. The interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery. Mr. Williams was well and favorably known in Greencastle and Putnam county, and leaves a widow and four children--Mrs. Ed Hibbitt of Bainbridge, Ross [possibly Rosa?], Allie and James--and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. He was a faithful member of College avenue church.
