Many unmarked burials are here. The earliest known burial was in 1845.

Located on the west edge of Huntsville, this cemetery is known for the first organized
Memorial Day Services, started in 1868. The annual decorating of graves is an important event in this area. Earliest known burial was in 1843.

Also called Maulsby's, it is located on County Road 1050 South, east of State Road 1. The oldest known burial was in 1845.
A church here was called Nettle Creek Regular Baptist, but the cemetery was known as Little Creek very early on , and then the church became known as Little Creek.

The earliest known burial is 1832. There have been two churches, on either side of the cemetery. Robert Lumpkin, Veteran of the Revolutionary War is here.
Also Samuel Burroughs, the first white child born in this township. Last known burial was in 1898. There are 173 burials here, some others unknown.

Started just before 1900, this is a newer cemetery.
Located on the north side of State Road 36, at the Indian Treaty Line.
The earliest known burials were in 1831. John Grubbs, a pioneer Methodist preacher had an enthusiastic following until about 1855.

Also called Cabin Creek South and African Methodist Cemetery. Located north of Modoc on State Road 1, between County Roads 500 and 600 South.
It was connected with two early Black churches. Only one church remains. It is located south of this cemetery, but it is no longer in use.
Located on a farm east of Indian Trail road and north of County Road 900 South is the burial site of the parents of Jeremiah Smith, who recorded many events that were used for the first County History of Randolph County.
He helped get the railroads into the county, founded Union City, and was involved in many other important pioneer day events.
He had erected an iron fence around William Smith (1831) and Mary (1847). About twenty graves are here, but only the ones inside the iron fence are visible.
On County Road 950 South, west of County Road 1000 West. On a farm, was the location of the Tharp family burial ground. This cemetery was plowed over, there are no traces of it remaining.
North of Modoc on State Road 1, between County Roads 300 South and 400 South. Also called Cabin Creek North.
It was connected with two early black churches.
This cemetery is no longer in use, the remaining stones are piled up by two trees.

Wiliam Daugherty and wife, who were very old, are buried at Union Chapel.
He was a poor man with a large family, but was a hard worker, and cleared up during his life vast tracts of land.
About 1/2 mile west of County Road 300 West, and north of County Road 400 South a family was buried in the woods. Stones were there at one time marking six graves.
It was reported this family had died of Small Pox. Nothing marks the site today.
