The date of the photograph is uncertain, but it is believed that it was taken in the
city of Lynn, Indiana on dirt roads.

The names on the back are R.R. Mail Carrier: Henry Benson, John Carter, Jim
Bascom & Henry Hawkins. Post Master: Geo. Bascom and Ast. P.M. Ada
Hoggett. The young lady in the doorway of the Post Office is not named.

Genealogy Angel
Shelley Cardiel has rescued another item.
She has in her possession a letter with several newpaper
clippings and a poem.

The letter is written by Hannah Jacob Weisiger from Richmond,
Virginia to Miss Xenia M.A. Smith in Winchester, Indiana.
The letter is dated August 31, 1887.

Shelley has transcribed the letter and included a list of the
names mentioned in the newspaper articles.
