FARMLAND  DEATHS
----------
          Mrs. Elizabeth Figgins Bond, 89, widow of Levi Bond, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John James, near the Cedar church, two miles southwest of Farmland, Sunday night, of old age. She is survived by two sons and two daughters. The funeral services were held at the Cedar church Wednesday morning conducted by the Rev. Ira Johnson of Lynn, and the Rev. Charles Wright.

            Emily Bond  d. 7/16/1885 at the res. of her son-in-law, Isaac Barnhart in Carro Gordo, Piatt Co., Ill. She was 75y 7m of age.. Born Bedford Co., VA 12/16/1788.  Maiden name was Swain. She married  Israel Bond 12/20/1821. He was a soldier in the War of 1812. Emigrated to Dayton, OH in 1825 and to Rand. Co. in 1850. He d. 6/20/1852. For the past 7yrs. she res. with her only surv. Mrs. Barnhart. She received a pension as soldiers widow. She had a paralytic stroke. Bur. Buena Vista Cem.

            Jospeh S. Bond  d. 7/5/1884 lacking 24d of being 73y of age. Born Surry Co. N.C. came to state the same year where he lived until his death. He was a birthright Quaker.

Mary L. Bond  d. 2/23/1881 age i8y 6m 23d. She was the w/o Benj. F. Bond and the d/o S. H. Karns (marriage rec. list her as Keener) She was a member of the Christian Church of Pleasant Grove. She lost her only child a few weeks ago.

John W. Bond  (from a paper sent by  Mrs. Harry S. Goodman of Mentone, Calif. 1880) John Westley Bond age 59y was found dead in his home believe at Savannah MO. Surv. 3 bros.:  Benjamin and  J. A. Bond of St. Joseph, MO;  Mart of St. Louis, MO; 4 sisters:  Mrs. Mary Potter, St. Joseph;  Mrs. Jennie Durks, Calif;  Mrs. Susan Jessup, Savannah and  Mrs. Emma James of Rand. Co,. IN. Body is at H. O. Sidenfaddens mort.  He married  Nancy Barnett 5/ 21/1847.
