FUNERAL  OF  GEORGE  BRIGHT
----------
          George Bright, 83, former sheriff of Randolph county, died Saturday night at Richmond. The funeral services were conducted at the Nazarene church in Modoc, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. George Vanderburg in charge of the services. The survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Cora Miller, of Winchester, Mrs. Hattie Wine, of Modoc, Mrs. Maude Conyers and Mrs. Lillie Walker both of Hammond, and Mrs. Ada Stephani, of David City, Neb.; two brothers, Evart Bright, of Richmond, and Ross Bright, of Wayne county. Burial was made in Fountain Park cemetery at Winchester.

            Samuel Bright died 10/22/1883 at his residence in Winchester after a long illness. Married Sarah E. Hinshaw 3/4/1871. Surv. wife and 4 children. Bur. Bartonia.

             Hannah Bright died 5/10/1877 no age given w/o Abner Bright of Wayne Twp., Rand. Co. Bur. in the Friends burying ground at Lynn, Ind. Bro. Johnson of the Christian Church in charge. They had only been married 3mo.

             Abigail Bright  died 1/1/1875 west of Bartonia age 66y w/o Benj. Sr. one of the oldest settlers of Rand. Co.  Born N.C. 1809.  Survived by 12 children. Funeral by Rev. N.T. Butts at M.E. Church.  Buried Bartonia Cem.
