MODOC SOLDIER DIES IN FRANCE HOSPITAL
The second death of a Randolph county boy in France, so far reported, was that of Floyd Freeman
, aged twenty, grandson of Mrs. Mary J. Grubbs
, of Modoc, who received word last week that he had died of pneumonia in a hospital in France. Russell Freeman
, who was raised in West River township, enlisted at Kokomo last fall in the aviation service and had been in France but a short time when stricken. The first death "over there" of a Randolph county boy was Earl C. Imel
, of Union City, who also died of pneumonia.
