MODOC SOLDIER DIES IN FRANCE HOSPITAL
----------
The second death of a Randolph county boy in France, so far reported, was that of  Floyd Freeman, aged twenty, grandson of  Mrs. Mary J. Grubbs, of Modoc, who received word last week that he had died of pneumonia in a hospital in France.  Russell Freeman, who was raised in West River township, enlisted at Kokomo last fall in the aviation service and had been in France but a short time when stricken.  The first death "over there" of a Randolph county boy was  Earl C. Imel, of Union City, who also died of pneumonia.
