          Funeral services of Samuel Higgenbothom, 88, who died Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank North, will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Clear Creek Christian church in charge of Rev. Zelma Mills. Interment will be in Reitenour cemetery

Samuel Higgenbothom Dies at
Home of Niece Near Winchester
----------
          Samuel Higgenbothom, 88, died Wednesday at 3:30 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank North, 6 1/2 miles northwest of Winchester, where he had made his home for the past 22 years. Mrs. North is a niece; other survivors are one other niece and three nephews.
          The body was returned at 4 p.m. Wednesday form the Clark and Maynard funeral home to the North home, where friends may call.
          Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Aged Woman Passes Away

Mary E. Higginbotham, 84, Claimed
by death at Home of Daughter

          Mary E. Higginbothom, 84, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs.Frank North, six miles northwest of Winchester near Stone Station, Wednesday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock.
          Surviving are three sons, Thomas of Calipatria, Cal., Oliver of Oilton, Okla., an Granville of Wagner, Okla., two daughters, Mrs. James Sherman of Dunreith and Mrs. Frank North, at whose home she died. 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
          The body was taken to the Clark, Maynard and Potter funeral home in Winchester for burial preparation and will be returned to the North residence at 2:30 p.m. today. Friends are invited to call.
          Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night.

Harrison Higginbotham Dies
----------
          Harrison Higginbotham, age 67, passed away at the Randolph county hospital at 7 o'clock last evening after an illness of ten days. He was taken sick suddenly on the streets of Winchester a week ago last Saturday. Mrs. Higginbotham died about three years ago and Mr. Higginbotham had lived alone on his farm three miles northwest of Winchester since that time. He was taken to the hospital about a week ago but gradually grew weaker. He is survived by one brother, Samuel Higginbotham, four nephews and three nieces. The funeral services will be held at the Clear Creek church at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning. The Rev. Zelma Mills will be assisted by the Rev. A. M. Addington in conducting the last sad rites. Burial in Fountain Park cemetery.

          Francis Higginbotham, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Higginbotham, was born in Randolph county, Indiana, March 17, 1853, and departed this life September 24, 1921, aged sixty-eight years, six months and seven days. He was united in marriage to Mary Etta Willis, November 9, 1886.
          He leaves to mourn their loss the widow and five children, three sons and two daughters, Mrs. Frank North, Winchester, Indiana; Thomas B. H. of Hulbert, Oklahoma; Mrs. James Sherman of Dunreth, Indiana; oliver P. M., of Slick, Oklahoma, and Carl Granville, of Norman, Oklahoma; also six grandchildren, two brothers, one half sister and a host of relatives and friends.
          His life was nearly all spent in Randolph county, Indiana. He was honest, industrious and was always willing to lend a helping hand in time of need. The pains of death are passed; labor and sorrows cease and life long warfare closed at last. His soul is found in peace.

          Funeral service were held Tuesday at ten thirty at Buena Vista, conducted by Rev. Zelma Mills. Interment in Buena Vista cemetery.

          Lafayette, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Higginbotham, was born in Randolph County, Ind., near Stone Station on the Higginbotham homestead now occupied by the Kennedy family. his birth occurred October 23, 1859, and departed this life March 15, 1914, aged 54 year, 4 months and 22 days.
          He was of a family of eight children, seven boys and one girl; the sister Mrs. Sarah Kennedy, three brothers, father and mother having preceded him, the three brothers dying in infancy.
          He leaves to mourn his departure three brothers, namely; Samuel, Franklin and Harrison, with many other friends and relatives who will cherish the memory of his boyhood days which was spent on and about the old homestead.
          Funeral services were held at the Clear Creek church Tuesday, March 17, conducted by Rev. N.W. Gray. interment at Reitenour cemetery.
