        HOCKETT, Evan, b. Feb. 25,1825 - d. Dec. 28, 1892 ae 67y 10m 3d. He was a mem. of the M.E. Church. Nov. 29,1843 he m. Jemima Edwards. He was 18yrs of age. She d. 1868 and he m. 2nd Catherine Edwards Nov. 24, 1869. He was in the Civil War, 69th Ind.Vol. He was the s/o Nathan & Rachel (Jay) Hockett. He had cancer. Surv. are the wf. 6 children, a half brother and a half sister. Buried Cherry Grove.
