        HORNER, Christena (Stevens), b. Franklin Co. lnd. Aug. 22, 1817, moved to Greensfork Twp. at age 29y. She m. Joseph Horner Feb. 26, 1842. They had 4 sons and 3 dts. 2 sons and 2 dts are dec'd. She d. Oct. 31, 1894 ae 77y 2m 9d. Bur. Mt. Pleasant Cem. Surv. are 2 sons Robert and Branson and 1 dt. Mrs. George H. Bright.

        HORNER, Thomas, was dragged to death as his horses ran away being frightened by 2 bears led by gypsies. He was dragged 50 yards and was dead in about 1 hour. (Spartansburg News). He was b. Rand. Co. Oct. 5, 1844-d. May 1, 1892 ae 47y 6m 26d. On Feb. 22, 1867 he m. Eliz. Chamness. They had 8 children, 4 sons and 4 dts. He was the s/o Joseph and Christena b. Ind.
