Jack M. Kessler, 76
----------
SARATOGA - Jack M. Kessler, 76, of Saratoga, IN, passed away Wednesday morning, November 1, 2006 at Americare Living Center in Winchester, IN.
He was born February 15, 1930 in Winchester, IN to the late Maurice and Virginia (Kaufman) Kessler. He graduated from Saratoga High School in 1948 and went on to serve in the United States Army. While in the service he married Barbara Simmons on August 8, 1951 at the Saratoga Methodist Church.
He retired from Westinghouse after 30 years. He was a 50 year member of the Ward Township Fire Department. He attended the Saratoga United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, taking walks, and playing cards.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Kessler; their two sons, Ronald Duane Kessler of Columbia, SC and Terry Wayne Kessler (wife, Denny) of Warsaw, IN; a brother, David Kessler (wife, Susan) of Union City, OH; and three grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Kessler, Danielle Kessler, and Trent Kessler.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vera Ellen Kessler.
A memorial service to celebrate Jack's Life will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Saratoga United Methodist Church at 104 W. Main Street Saratoga, IN with Pastor Jan Bunch officiating.
Their will be a time of fellowship with family and friends following the memorial service in the fellowship hall of the church.
Burial of cremated ashes will be in Saratoga Cemetery at a latter date.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be given to the Saratoga United Methodist Church and/or the Ward Township Fire Department.

        KENNEDY, Orlistus Lafayette, s/o John. W. & Mary (Miller) Kennedy b.Aug. 11, 1890-d. Nov. 17, 1893 ae 3y 3m 5d. He had meningitis. His parents were m. July 26, 1884 s/o Jesse & -- (Hodgin) Kennedy and d/o Jonathan & -- (Butts) Miller. They res. in Washington Twp., R.C. Fun. at Cherry Grove, bur. cem. nearby. Surv. are the father, mother, 2 bros, and 2 grandfathers, 1 grandmother.
