          NEWTON, William F.,  d. Feb. 19, 1886 at 11:00 p.m. He was b. in a cabin on the S. bank of the Ohio River in Broken (Bracken) Co. Ky., Jan. 29, 1830. He lived 4½ yrs until the death of his father then moved with his mother to Cincinnati. After 14 mo. he moved to Darke Co. OH. ln 1861 he enlisted in Co. F. 156 OH. Vol. Inf. as a 1st lieut. ln 1869 he moved to Winch. where he m. Caroline Staket and had 5 children, 2 dts and a son, John W., a mem. of the R.C. Bar. and Geo. at home, 2 dts are living in Tenn. lt (his obit.) tells of a disease, with wasting has been among us. He died Feb. 19, 1886. Surv. are 2 dts living in Tenn. A son res. in Nebraska, John W., George N. res. in Winch. (2 different obits, same.
